I have a LOT of Leica equipment, both German and Canadian. I cannot detect
ANY quality difference. Country of origin is important in some cases to
collectors but not to users. 

As Ted may point out, Leica Canada has made MANY fine lenes for exacting
military uses. The Canadian lenses may be used without hesitation.
