There are special inks and papers...MISupply in Michigan has developed 
archival inks, when used on archival paper Concorde Rag from Legion West 
in LA, the prints will live longer than the average photographer. I've 
been using them with an Epson EX and am very happy. It's taken a while to 
get the profiles just right when switching over from the Epson inks and 
paper, but now  the results are very good. They compare well (if not 
better) to a cibachrome.
