Well, you've done it again, Erwin and with the eloquence of a 
native English speaker. I wish that I was fluent in Dutch so that I 
could appreciate your writings in your mother tongue. Must be 
awesome!

To some extent, we're suffering here from the greater numbers 
now subscribing and posting. As mailing lists go, this one is pretty 
large and you know how it is when Mr. Everyman enters the 
picture.  ;-)

Talk to the folk who were early in the newsgroups. There was an 
appreciation and kinship in the newsgroups then that is lacking 
today. BTW, you'll never hear this old curmudgeon refering to the 
LUG. That connotes a newsgroup, and, bad as this can be at 
times, it's still a 'cut above' most newsgroups. It is, ladies and 
gentlemen, the LUL! (That's Leica Users List for those of you in Rio 
Linda) I fear that I'm in a tiny minority on this, however, as 
'Lugnuts' has so many permutations, most of which are apt.
