Another point is that you have to compare apples to apples.  Let's assemble
comparable systems and compare:

Perhaps to be fair, you should add in a 50 macro lens to the Canon and the
65 elmar/Visoflex to the Leica ;-)

The weight issue is of course important, but for me bulk is also an issue.
Most of the rangefinder lenses can be stowed very neatly in a pocket or
photo vest, whereas SLR optics are much bigger. It is the reason that the
Rollei TLR makes a better travel option to the 'Blad, as long as you do not
need to change focal length or films ;-)
