You might also consider the 280/4.8 Telyt with the appropriate Leicaflex adaptor. This combo works fine on my SL, tho' obviously it's non-auto. The image is surprisingly bright for a lens with such a moderate nominal aperture, and most of the time you can use it wide open anyway. Which reminds me, I must get round to hooking up the 2x R converter to the Telyt for a cheap 560mm. After getting such dreadful results with the 90/2 Summicron, it's been gathering dust. After all, converters are supposed to work better with long teles, aren't they? Best.
