To all:

I must heartily agree with Bob's posting. I am appalled at the behavior of this group.
For such a bunch of smart people there seems to be both an amazing lack of patience,
tolerance and smarts. But a significant amount of self righteous indignation.

If you don't like what Anthony posted, ignore it. Don't answer it, don't feel its your duty
to somehow preserve the purity of the LUG, or the universal rightness of the posted
material. Its not your responsibility, and its not your duty. Just flippin ignore it!

If your need to answer, and answer again, and again, and then bitch because he still talks
about it compels you to turn it into a diatribe, at least have the decency to cut the offending
material out of your own postings. Then those of us who are (for whatever reasons) using the
digest version of this mailing list do not have to read the same stuff over and over again!

Guys (and gals, although I notice they display much more sense herein), this place is a
cocktail party, with everyone here somewhat under the influence of their favorite
stimulant. If you don't like the conversation in this corner, move to another. Don't get into an
argument with a fool (not Anthony here, but anyone), because from over here I can't
tell you apart.

Keep on talking about the ethics and morals of photographing, talking about the technical or
aesthetic issues, or the latest films, or whatever gets you through the night. Everyone who
contributes something useful is thanked by me, a hundred times over. Just keep doing
that, and set your own high water mark. But get off this holier than thou sh*t, cause no one
here has managed to walk on water or raise the dead in my presence; you're all still just
mere mortals.

For those who are offended by a lurker having the temerity to mouth off: "deal with it".

For those who keep on posting the good stuff, thank you, thank you, thank you. (repeat as needed)

Norm Aubin

I must say that this has been an interesting experience. I bought a used
<SNIP>
anyway. Just thought you might want to know that another newcomer sees you
all as pretty pissy.
