I believe the story was some of the first bodies made at Solms did not have "LEICA" on the front, just an enlarged "M6". I'm sure someone will verify this. My M6 is n#17424.. i think it is from 1988, but the particularity is : not "LEICA M6"engraved on the front but only "M6". I never saw it before. Can somebody, tell me more about my M6 ?
