I bet we would not be as critical if the camera had a red dot now would we?
Probably sing its praises. Suffice it to say, at least Konica is helping
the effort.
I recently learned that Leica had an agreement with Konica to supply FT-1
SLRs for use with Leica microscopes. I was surprised they did not use their
own R cameras? Wonder why? Price?

Advantages over the M6:
Shutter speeds visible in the VF; AE & AE with lock; DX coding (marginal
plus);
higher sync speed(marginal plus - just a little over 1 f-stop advantage);
motor
drive.

Disadvantages over the M6:
Noise level; Lower mag. x = less RF accuracy;

Missed opportunities:
No focus confirmation; No spot meter (would be great with the AE lock);

Still unknown:
Film loading system - fast advance to first frame? Rewind speed?

Could Erwin please calculate and post the limits of the .6x VF for fast
aperture
lenses at various focal lengths?

Meanwhile, sounds like a good second body to me, as a companion to an M6 (or
M6TTL)
.85 or an M3.
