Thank you, everyone, for your thoughts on the photograph I posted. Your 
responses and suggestions are quite interesting and very gratifying. 
Thank you for the compliments, and for the criticisms, both.

I must say, I'm much more interested in hearing about what you think of a 
photograph, whether it is expressive, satisfying, dissatisfying, etc, 
than I am about whether or not some infinitesimal detail of the 
construction of an M3 is marginally superior to the M6. I mean, I've 
owned Leica M3, M4-P and now M6 cameras. They are far more the same than 
different, and if you use any one of them to the degree that they are 
capable of being used, to the point where the finish is bare and the 
shutter is worn out, well, that hunk-o-junk has become a real thing of 
beauty from all the wonderful photographs that it has helped you create, 
and the small differences in construction will mean not one whit to the 
satisfaction of the photographs. 

Isn't that what it's really all about?
