Mark, this is really indefensible. Rotary processing of sheetfilm is
demonstrably superior to ANY other method of processing for sheet film,
save brush application as practiced by astrophotographers. And the JOBOs
with Expert Drums are the Rolls-Royce of rotary processors for 4x5 (the
everyman alternative is the BTZS tubes, which are almost as good). I can
state categorically that it is NOT POSSIBLE to achieve uniformity with
tank or tray development of 4x5 sheet film negs equal to that routinely
produced in the JOBO Expert Drums.

Most good workers using 4x5 today use rotary processing of some sort,
and many top workers use JOBOs.
