Jerry,

It recently took me a few months to decide wich projector to buy for my
business. I had 2 dead Kodak carousel (760H & 850) the first one bought new
in 1975.

Your options are the same I had come up with.

I eliminated the P150 after reading many letters (on the LUG and also on
DéjàVu) about the poor quality of this projector. It is not made directly
by Leica, but you can put a Leica lens on it.

The Braun Novamat had very bad comments from the letters I read on DéjàVu
(that is on Internet BTW). Too bad, I did like it's design and small
preview or daylight screen.

Kodak would have been a "natural" choice for me because I had +-40
Carousel trays, a zoom lens (not very good) and a very usefull
stack-loader.

But I ended up with the Leica P2002! The Leica name and it's quality was a
good reason to buy it. It is built to last. I did not want to buy another
slide projector 20 years from now (anyway I would be to old and slide
projectors would probably be sold in antique stores).
The projector is (or was!) made by Leica. You can put on it Leica lenses, I
did buy a Colorplan 90mmCF (my slides are mostly Kodachrome w/cardboard
mount, the other ones are plastic mounted). A very good lens and a very
good projector.

Now the good news... You may already know these projectors are discontinued
by Leica. The reason is the arrival of the newer carousel type Leica
projector. So for the past few months, Leica has cut it's price in half.
Now selling for US $595. This is a good deal even if it is a lot of money.
I don't know if they still have some left thought.
I ordered mine from Wall Street Camera in N.Y. Oct.12. They called me the
next day to tell me they didn't have it in stock and that Leica (US
distributor) would sell them a Leica demo. they would sell me for $495.! I
said yes and I'm glad I did. The next day the projector was at my home and
I really could not find any indication of it being a demo. It looks brand
new to me and it works A-1.

The price does not include the lens. I did not buy my lens from Wall
Street. I ordered it from my local Leica dealer here in Canada. The deal on
the projector is not available from Leica Canadian distributor but the lens
was cheaper bought in Canada. I think you are in the Detroit area, if I
were you, if you decide on this projector of course, I would buy the P2002
in the States and go to Windsor or To. and buy the lens!
