The older 2-cam lenses are for the Leicaflex/Leicaflex SL/Leicaflex SL2 bodies (and 1-cam lenses are for the original Leicaflex). 3rd-cam (not the same as 3-cam) lenses will meter properly on R-bodies from R3 onward but lack the cams for metering with any of the Leicaflex bodies. ROM lenses have the 3rd cam for metering on all bodies from R3 onward and have a ROM chip whose functions are not really clear to me, but is used by R8 (and I presume future) bodies.
