Why on earth would Leica want to change the curtain? If it gets fungus
repairing it would keep their service revenues going.

Almost 27 years ago Leica knew that the cloth shutters were a source of body
fungus? In fact, if the book was published 27 years ago, Leica had probably
known about the problem for a long time before that.

Do we therefore assume that the shutters are still a source of fungus, or do
we assume that it was possible for them, in a period of only 27 years, to
eliminate the problem?
