Whilst on the subject of beer, I thought I would just throw my five penneth 
in (or 5 cents for you foreigners!)   I am currently working on a project to 
photograph a 'traditional' brewery here in the south of England which still 
bottles beer with a cork.   I first started there two years ago and then they 
were still bottling by hand.   Two ladies would place the individual corks in 
each bottle and stick the label on.   Then someone started exporting it to 
the US and the two ladies could not keep up so an adapted wine bottling 
machine was bought in from Italy.

It has been an interesting project which is virtually at an end - I have a 
shoot there today which will probably be the last.   I had to put it on hold 
for a while waiting for exhibition space, but it now opens in January with 
funding from the County Council and the Arts Council of Great Britain.   The 
brochure says:

"Photographer Gerry Walden has captured the real flavour of Hampshire through 
his series of photographs that chart the production of the local brew by 
George Gale and Company at Horndean.   From the planting of barley and hops 
in the field to the final pulling of the pint in the bar, every aspect of the 
traditional process has been captured in silver gelatine hand-printed 
photographs, forming a unique record of this part of Hampshire's heritage."

It has all been shot on leica M4 and M6 with Leica optics apart from a few 
images on the new Voigtlander 15mm lens.
