My IIIa came yesterday, boy its a beaut!  I haven't had a chance to run any
film through it yet (probably this weekend).  I was pleased with the ebay
purchase: IIIa w 50 Summar and case for $305.  The Summar optics are very
clear and the body only has one tiny pinprick ding in it.  Vulcanite is
flaking though. All told, I've put together a decent SM outfit from ebay:
IIIa/50 Summar/35 Elmar/90 Elmar for $497.  All I need now is a viewfinder

The only thing that puzzles me about the IIIa is the ribbed lever on the
rangefinder eyepiece, the one marked with 8 or is it the infinity sign?
What is the purpose of that?
