Subject: [Leica] 75mm alternatives

I have one friend who's had the 75mm f/2.5 Cosina lens for weeks, but he
hasn't made prints from it yet as he's waiting for some darkroom
construction work to be done. I'll post when I either hear from him or
see some prints.

Incidentally, in re the 75mm lens thread, this just in from Oren Grad,
who I believe stays up late poring over Japanese-language photo
magazines: "You heard it here first: SMC Pentax-FA 77mm f/1.8 Limited.
Cosmetics like the 43mm, 9-bladed diaphragm, design claimed to optimize
everything wonderful about picture taking, from handling to image. List
price Y97,000, just under $1K at today's exchange rate..."

Of course you have to use it on a Pentax, so never mind.
