This is the US brand name for Hewes reels, a wonderful British product
which are the Clearly Superior reel. Heavy metal. You can bounce them on
the floor, and they never break or bend.

It is an annoying reality that camera-store clerks will generally NOT sell
these reels even when their store stocks them, as they cost substantially
more than those thin-metal horror-reels. So, you go into the store, gripe
that you're having problems loading regular reels, and the clerks are very
nice and sympathetic but fail to point out the King Concepts/Hewes reels on
the shelf, for fear you'll be offended by paying $15 for a reel.

Around a decade back, I converted to Hewes reels and Kindermann tanks.
Happiness resulted. (Though, TRUE happiness is a two-step process: pay
your attorney lots of money and sue the jerks, but that is happiness of a
different and clearly superior order.)
