Well, of course there is doubt: there is much doubt. More than a few of us find the 35mm lens boring. I'd opt for a current 2/50 Summicron or a used 1.4/50 Summilux. But, there is no "best choice" in the sense of a "one-size-fits-all". Figure out what YOU want to use, what your style calls for, and match that. My choice would quite possibly not be yours!
