B stands for 'Bag', at least on my M6. When I put the camera in the B
(bag), I make sure the shutter dial is set to B, because that prevents
battery drain which would occur if the shutter is cocked and there is
pressure on the release button while the M is in the B without shutter dial
set to B. And I speak from experience. All clear?

Gott Nytt År Martin!
