Gives me the willies to think about it but once you get used to it it's not so bad. This was with movie film (NPR) or video so shutter speed was always 1/30 - 1/50, hand-held. Kept a rope tied to the camera too. I tried a gyro-stabilized lens but the focal length was long so the bird had to fly high to use it. It was hazy so those shots wern't so good. Mike D
