Subject: [Leica] Rubber paint for coating old coating shutters

Hi
I'm about to buy some sort of flat black rubber paint used on patios
to recoat some pinholed shutters on several old cameras, including
an S&M Leica or 2. I guess that if I thin it out it should work. Does
anybody know if this is the right stuff to use? Is there righter stuff out there?
I'de rather not learn from experience. My only other option is to buy
curtain material but I'de rather avoid that until the last possible moment
since I can't sew worth crap. Also, ever since I was little I've had trouble
getting the curtains absolutely parallel and not climbing on each other.
Even if I measured the length of shutter tape and made it equal to the length
of curtain on the other side, jig or no jig.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated
Javier
