Actually Rollei was recently privatized. The managers in Braunsweig bought
the company back from Samsung. So once again it is 100% german owned.

I think I am not alone in my wants so I will simply look to Konica for a
modern M body, or maybe Fuji who may soon own Leica. You will only have to
look as far as that to find the success you seek. If Leica does get bought
that means the only German-owned company left is Rollei, whom as you know
recently went private again!
