Bob,

I should add that my assistant and I shot a bunch of Polaroid Type 55
when we were in Paris and waited until we were back in the hotel room to
process and clear the negs in Sodium Sulfite (or whatever you're
supposed to use). We just brought the powder over and mixed it in an
empty mineral water bottle with tap water. That's certainly one
possiblity even if you use Type 655 on medium format.

My assistant found the bathrooms, without their windows, a great place
to load 4x5 holders also.
