Chris,

You are lucky, you are now in the greatest city in the world. Contrary to
common wisdom, not all beer in London is warm, and you can get excellent food
(try the Indian and Bangladeshi restarurants on Brick Lane, for example). Also
contrary to common prejudice, the annual rainfall in London is less than that
in Paris!

As for Leica places, I am sure our resident UK LUGgers will chime in, but a
good place to start are the three shops in the Pitts Bull Yard, near the
British Museum (nearest tube: Holborn). I don't know if they do repairs
in-house, but they should certainly be able to point you in the right
direction.
