Subject: [Leica] Kodachrome : reasons to use them.

Dear LUGGERs,

With the current thread of discussions on Kodachrome, what is your main
reasons of using Kodachrome after all? Is it because it gives you the
characteristics that the current E6 films(a lot of them) cannot match
or you choose it for its archival ability? If it was the latter, how many
percent of your shots that you intend to keep them around as long as the
expected shelf live of the Kodachrome will allow(that is a long time)?
I know that Kodachrome comes in ASA 25, 64, and 200. The ASA 25 and 64 films
are possibly the popular slow speed Kodachrome films for sharpness and archivability.

Personally, I like the results that current E6 films give me and I use them
exclusively. I have not used that many Kodachrome films due to the inconvenience
of the film processing compared to the E6 films. The archival ability of the Kodachrome
is, however, very attractive.

Regards,

Pitak
