Subject: [Leica] Cleaning protective film off M6 bottom?

I used a prior tip from this group which suggested using a hairdryer to
loosen the protective film on the bottom of my new M6 TTL.  That worked but
the 'CE' label underneath left a sticky film which I removed with a little
nail polish remover (acetone).  Now I have a shiny area where I cleaned and
the rest of the bottom is a dull finish.  I think that is caused by the
adhesive on the protective film.  Is there a simple way to remove all of
this and get a uniform finish on the bottom so that I may go on with my
life!?
