It is interesting to note that M system sales are up 9.3% at DM 22.2 million for the quarter but R system sale are down 6.3% at DM 9.8 million (down 14% for nine months). Compact camera sales were up 55.4% for the quarter apparently due to strong Christmas sales. Total sales for compact cameras in the quarter of DM 16.8 million exceeded R system sales of DM 9.8 million. Even binocular sales of DM 12.7 million exceeded R sales which were nearly equaled by projector sales of DM 6.2 million. The above data clearly underscores the problems with the R system which is unfortunate as the lenses are so darn good. BTW, research expenditures were reduced 16.9% for the quarter. Paul
