I do the same thing on the Mac... scan in all candidates from new rolls (I
shoot a lot of films, so for example on the human traffic project I have
about 500 'candidates' currently. Then I repeatedly go through the portfolio
using, erm, Extensis Portfolio. You're right... the dross falls away.

As a writer, I have found that though I always take notes of an interview or
meeting, I always *remember* the key points.

That mind's eye is telling you something. Listen!
