Sorry to disagree with your opinion of the current 28 M, B.D., but this lens 
was the first lens designed by Lothar Kolsch.  Herr Kolsch is head of the 
optical design dept at Leica and we all know how impressive the recent 
designs from Leica under his supervision have been. Consider this a virtual 
ASPH lens.  It's optical performance is superb, as verified by Erwin.
