Oh, and it's free. I strongly recommend it as an alternative to the current listserver being used - plus it's very user friendly, and easy to navigate through. And about the muck people are posting, perhaps you can assign a moderator who steps in to end threads which are going nowhere, taking up bandwidth, and clogging your e-mail box. After all, most subscribers are here to talk about Leica. Period. And many do not want to hear a lot of the other bull - sorry guys, but it's true. Originally I was a LUG member 3 years ago when only about 35-45 messages came across per day. I'd say 85% of the messages then were ON topic. Today, there are roughly 90+ messages per day, and perhaps more than 50% of the posts seem to be OFF topic. Do others agree? should there be a moderator or should we ask that people stop with the chatter and control themselves to ON-TOPIC discussions? The other alternative is to have LUG Knitting Corner - where people can gossip, talk about why they hate certain photographers work, etc... but I strongly believe, for the sake of everyone, that this become a different list so fellow LUGers can choose if that is of value to them or not... just something to think about. sincere rgds, Justin Guariglia > From: Vincent Dow <vincenzoid@yahoo.com> > Reply-To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us > Date: Sun, 20 Feb 2000 08:37:28 -0800 (PST) > To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us > Subject: [Leica] Anyway to organize this list? > > I wonder if there's not a way to better organize the > postings in leica-users-digest.
