Longevity should not be the issue then as paint falls of a canvas in hunks
faster in most cases that photos fade. Perhaps we need to overcompensate as
photographers instead of fuzzy-wuzzies we're now doing in effect photo's etched
in stone. 
This whole archival phase can't last forever!
