  John, the code is as you said: SDPOO. The eyes come up sometimes at camera
swap meetings or similar. I have also seen them at the bigger mail-order second
hand shops (Tamarkin etc.) I don't think they where ever sold by leica as a
separate item. If so, then only as replacements for lost ones. That's probably
why they are not in the price guide.

The DR Summicron lets you focus down to 19"  or 48cm.  or an image magnification
of 1:7.5 Don't forget, this is measured from the film plane at the back of the
camera.
If you can not get the eyes, you can also use the SOMKY/16507  together with an
UOORF
adapter. The lens head of your DR can be unscrewed and used with the SOMKY.
The closest focusing distance is the same as when using the eyes. Using the
SOMKY is however a bit more involved than the eyes.

But don't give up, if you don't find them straight away. I noticed, sooner or
later anything Leitz made comes up for sale. Just keep on searching.
