Subject: [Leica] OT:WW2/Bismark Question

Hi
Sorry for the OT post but I rekon that German camera collectors are
naturally going to have a side interest in WW2.

I was watching "Sink the Bismark" on the History Channel.
They mention that the Ship's captain had been told by the
party to remove his Jewish officers but had refused to
remove some of them. No further mention is made of it.
This leaves me wondering. Did Jews actually sail, fight
aboard and perhaps go down with the Bismark? More
generally, are there any documented instances of Jews
fighting in the German military during WW2. It seems
almost unbelievable! Does anybody know anything about this?
