What exactly does that quote mean?  Are Nikon or Minolta or Canon lenses
NOT designed to photograph three-dimensional objects?   Or that Leica
lenses have a lot of builtin field curvature (is this a good thing,
something to brag about?)

IMHO, this is the sort of nonsence from which a lot of unscientific and
unjustified Leica folklore originates.
