You may be interested to know that in the printed version of the photo, we digitally flattened the horizon to correct for a) the curvature of the earth, b) my crooked handholding and c) slight pincushion distortion from the lens. Consequently, in the printed version, the earth is in fact flat. If you have the patience (2.1 meg download), you can see it on pages 14/15 at http://www.nbaa.org/baus/baus-rgb.pdf. David W.
