It is an upgrade indeed: No loss in image quality and the gain of a full
stop. In my book, that's an upgrade - not to say that if you don't need the
extra stop, there's no upgrading the Summicron ASPH. :-)

Is moving to the Summilux from the  35mm Summicron-M ASPH an upgrade?
I'm not sure that's necessarily so.
