Hmmmm........ 35/2 ASPH to 35/1.4 ASPH - seems to me an upgrade in terms of an extra stop (an more weight). Image quality would be comparable. 35/2 ASPH to 35/1,4 (non ASPH) - still an upgrade in terms of an f-stop but not in image quality. All said, there are those who like the bokeh in the images that the 35 summilux can produce. It is an artform in itself. If I am reading Nathan's post correctly, he appears to be upgrading to a 35 lux ASPH. Dan K.
