Note that David Kilpatrick, editor of Freelance Photographer, wrote that the
50mm Hexar lens "suffers from very severe curvature of field at 70cm focus,"
with unsharp center but sharp  cornors "like the effect of a bulging slide
in
a projector."  Further, the 50's flare problems were "quite hopeless."  It
not only flares but "castes a huge white veil over the entire shot even at
settings like f8.  At the worst this forms a central patch covering almost
all the frame."
   I don't think this is good enough to use with Leicas. Arthur
