I don't see that the usage for editorial is any more permissible than the
usage for advertising - breach of copyright is breach of copyright, however
perpetrated!   The only difference may be the fee.   And, believe me, you
are not the only one who constantly has to remind people about rights.
There seems to be a general amnesia on the part of image users when it comes
to these matters.

However, if Leica approached me and said that they wanted to include one of
my images in a calendar of the greatest photographs of the 20th century, I
wouldn't argue too much about the fee.   Fat chance though!
