This is work for hire.  If you work for an agency or publication and they 
give you a regular salary and pay for all of your benefits, then any work 
you do belongs to them.  Most photographers do not work this way.  I retain 
the copyright to all of my photographs and expect to receive compensation 
any time they are used or re-used.  My contracts specifically say that I do 
not do "work for hire" even for assignment work.
