Having large hands and a dominant left eye I'd wecome a mechanical camera in an R8 body shell, particularly if it had a continuously-variable shutter. As far as I know, there's nothing wrong with the R6.2 (the current R6 model) but the R4-R7 cameras are too small for me. My limited experience with the R8 was all positive but I was most comfortable using it in manual/spot meter mode so I'd rather have a camera that worked even without battery power.
