Making double exposures with SM is indeed simple.  The shutter must be
retensioned without advancing the film.  After you have made your first
exposure, depress the release button and rotate the speed dial to wind
the shutter.  You'll feel a click when the shutter is cocked.  At that
point, let go of the release button and you are ready to take your
second exposure.
