Assuming your M6's meter is working correctly, I would expect that it would
be fairly neutral when it comes to how it works.  In other words, an
exposure of that white wall based on your unadjusted M6 meter reading
should render it at Zone V, or result in a density of about .75 in the
negative (I think this is a typical zone V density).  The meter in the
Nikon F5 may be doing something wierd (as someone else pointed out) when
due to its colour metering system.
