it stumped me for a while too -- i eventually grabbed it with a pair of
plyers and twisted. came off very easily but left some marks. so if you're
a collector, you might want to put a bit of cloth or rubber over it first,
or buy another battery cover for show. if you're a shooter, it shouldn't
bother you.
