If they cannot "see" into the bag they will open it up and run it through
again. After all, this is what they are looking for: suspicious parcels.
Even worse, at some airports they are now using the search and destroy
machines in checking carry-on luggage. If it cannot "see" into the bag it
triggers a very high energy narrow beam that ruins ANY film. You should
carry on unpacked film in clear zip lock bags. They will hand-check in US
and Canada if you ask, and, with a winning smile, you may be lucky
elsewhere.
