You should have gotten a LTM (screwmount, Leica Thread mount) as you could then
refer to it as "Barnacks Camera"! :)
Cause if your M6 gets referred to as "Barnacks camera" there could be some cornfusion.
I got my first M6 with 50mm 2.0 lens seven years ago and my Leica M system now
dominates my photography.
Hope you enjoy your photography with your Leicas as much as I do. I'll be
getting some LTM's one of these days as you can get new lenes for them now and I
am fond of the quality you get from modern Leica optics and less fond of
nostalgia. I just think the "Barnack" camera, the "LTM" has stuff going for it
compactness mainly that the M series don't got.
