Duane - As usual, you are being the Mr. Nice Guy of the LUG, because you are
a nice guy and can't help yourself..:-) But Kyle and Joe, abrasiveness
aside, have an excellent point, and that is that the folks on toycamera, who
I don't believe are little kids but rather are serious adults, are far more
interested in vision than they are in equipment - and the posted photos
demonstrate that. While there are some people on the LUG, both "amateur" and
"pro" who do wonderful work, there are an awful lot of people who produce
really mundane wasted film with literally tens of thousands of dollars worth
of equipment. I think that what Kyle and Joe are saying, and a number of us
have said in the past and will say again in the future, is, to paraphrase an
extremely abrasive political operative"

If people spent 1/10th of the time they spend obsessing about the equipment
obsessing about what they are photographing and why, and actually taking
photographs, then the quality of their photos would improve immeasurably,
whether they use the King Tut Commemorative M6 Special, or a battered Holga.

But you're right, we need to be nicer to each other - he said, being his
usual nasty self..:-)
