Subject: [Leica] Black and White Ink Jet Photos (Epson printers )

Hi Gerry,

I've recently purchased the Stylus color 3000. the model you have is
apparently better since the ink sets have been dev to be more stable + it's
six color vs. 3
But I went with the 3000 for the tabloid size paper.

I use it with a flat bed scanner (Saphir ultra 2) & the Nikon Coolscan
(LS20). The results are very impressive. I've not tried it with B&W yet. I
still prefer the look of trad paper media in this regard, but wish I could
manipulate the photos digitally & scan the ink jet print & shoot it again the
get a neg & print it traditionally. Has anyone tried this?

Tina what software are you using with your Epson?

Cheers,

Frederic

I have recently changed scanners to the Nikon LS30, and printers to the
Epson 1270 and I am so happy that I am now doing all my work, colour and
monochrome, on this set up including my monochrome exhibition prints. The
darkroom is already being boxed up and my wife is getting excited about
getting a guest room back! Quite simply the control I have over the
negative is great with Photoshop 5.5 and the effects and paper range are
increasing the possibilities for my work without noxious chemicals etc.
