Subject: [Leica] My Leica and my lab

I've got to boast a bit.

A Leica photograph of the labrador retriever who is both domestic companion
and favorite Leica subject brought in enough votes to give him second place
in the local "top dog" contest run in our town at dog license renewal time.
Among his prizes was license no. 2. He lost the top spot by only one vote,
but that's another story.

The photo in question began life as an overexposed "happy snap" slide which
was panned by a certain prolific contributor to this list at the beginning
of a certain three-day program last fall on the Maine coast. It went
through the HP 20 scanner into Vueprint for some adjustment and emerged
from an Alps printer.

A slightly cropped version is at http://www.ci.newington.ct.us/topdog.html
