I know, but I never missed those 30 cm.
And by the way is the 50/1,4 so good between 0,30 and 1
meter ?
The lens was not planned to be used like that when it was
designed back in 1961.

Hard to believe that my favourite 50 mm was designed in 1961!

And I'm still searching another good reason to swap a so
efficient 12586 metal lens hood against those 30 cm.

It's to bad the black paint Summilux 50/1,4 (limited - 2000
ex.) will have the sliding lens hood.
